Stornoway Golf Club - Member's Area
Members of Stornoway Golf Club may access additional website features by logging into the "Member's Area" of the website. MasterScoreBoard features are now accesssed through the website member's area.
Accessing the Member's Area
To start you should use the Login/Logout menu item which can be accessed by hovering the mouse cursor over the "Members" menu item at the top right of the top menu bar on the website, then clicking on "Login/Logout".
This will take you to the Login page.
If you have already created an account at sometime in the past you can login by entering the username and password you created at that time, and proceed to access the additional members features which will appear below the "Members" menu item.
NOTE: IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU LOGOUT EACH TIME YOU LEAVE THE WEBSITE
Forgotten username or password
If you have forgotten either of these you should click on either "Forgot your username?" or "Forgot your password?" and follow the instructions you are given.
Registering a new account
If you have never registered on the site you should select "Register" and follow the instruction to enter your details and register a new account. The registration process requires a two step authentication process:
Step 1: Once you have entered your details and submitted them you will immediately be sent an email to the email address that you enter. This email will contain a link that you should click on to confirm that your are indeed the owner of the email entered.
Step 2: Once you have clicked on the link in the email authentication email, the website administrator will be sent an email to inform him that a new user account has been registered. If the administrator is happy that the new account is for a member of Stornoway Golf Club he will approve the account, and an email will be sent to you when that approval is made. When you receive this approval email you will be able to login to the members area. (This email may not be sent for some time, but normally within 24 hours)
If you do not seem to receive the emails you should check any spam/junk mail folders in case your email security software has prevented them from reaching your email inbox.
Problems accessing the Member's Area
If when you are trying to register a new account you receive a message telling you that the email address is already in use, you may have actually created an account in the past and you should try to recover the username and password as described above "Forgotten username or password".
If you do not receive authentication emails, check your email junk and spam folders.
