Location
The Western Isles are a chain of islands off the north west coast of Scotland. Stornoway on the island of Lewis is the largest town and has all the leisure facilities of a modern town. Although Stornoway Golf Club is the only 18-hole course, there are five other 9-hole courses that are well distributed geographically throughout the length of the islands to provide the travelling golfer a variety of challenges with scenery that will take the breath away.
By Sea
Stornoway is served by Caledonian Macbrayne who operate the modern roll-on/roll-off car and passenger ferry ‘Isle of Lewis’ from Ullapool, which is just one hour’s drive from Inverness.
Ferries to the other islands sail from Uig in Skye, Mallaig and Oban. Special packages include the Island Hopscotch - a choice of pre-planned routes for cars and accompanying passengers, and the Island Rover - a runabout ticket with or without a car and which is valid for 8 or 15 days with unlimited travel on most routes.

Stornoway is served by direct flights scheduled daily from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness by:
